Festival de Bluegrass

The festival is free and open to the public of all ages in April at Centennial Hills Park, 7101 N. Buffalo Drive. Enjoy bluegrass and Americana music by award-winning bands. Browse a wide array of folk art, jewelry and other items in the artisan marketplace, and enjoy tasty barbecue, seafood, burgers, tacos, sweet treats and plenty of other festival foods, along with beverages, beer and margaritas available for purchase. Children can enjoy a festival area designed just for them, with games, make-and-take art projects and free face painting. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs and blankets to be more comfortable on the outdoor lawn seating in the park’s amphitheater. 

Django Vegas

DjangoVegas! will return to the Las Vegas Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St., in downtown Las Vegas in June. The annual indoor musical celebration pays tribute to the roots, origins and established figures of hot club-style jazz and the music of legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt.

Caribbean Festival

A free outdoor Caribbean Heritage Festival is held in April at Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park, 720 Twin Lakes Drive. Bring your family to enjoy the traditions, music and flavors of the Caribbean. Performances will include calypso, steel drums, reggae, traditional Cuban music, and sounds directly from the Caribbean. There will be free activities for children, community exhibitors, artisan vendor booths and Jamaican/Latin Caribbean food trucks offering refreshments for sale.

Festival del Libro de Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Book Festival, now in its 25th year, returns to Las Vegas in October. Save the date and plan to attend this free annual event held downtown at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St., that is open to all ages. The Las Vegas Book Festival is the largest literary event in Nevada, presented by the city of Las Vegas with support from Nevada Humanities, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and the Clark County Poet Laureate, along with many sponsors and donors. Through the years, the festival has presented countless well-known authors, panel discussions, readings, workshops and book signings. Festival de Tamales y Mariachi

Experience the vibrant spirit of Mexico and Central America at the Tamales and Mariachi Festival! Kick off the holidays with great food, mariachi and folklorico performances. This festival is free to attend and is heald annually in December at the Las Vegas Civic Center, 525 S. Main St.
